The Master’s dissertation brings the academic journey together: you will produce, present and publicly defend a research or practice-based project before an academic panel, demonstrating your analytical ability, legal reasoning and professional ethics.     Admissions process

    In line with the applicable regulations, eserp will admit to the proposed online official Master’s in legal practice and court representation those applicants who can evidence that they hold one of the following university qualifications:

    • A university qualification titled Licenciado/a en Derecho (former long-cycle degree in law).
    • A university qualification titled Graduado/a en Derecho (Bachelor’s degree in law).
    • An equivalent Bachelor’s degree that meets the requirements set out in Article 3 of Royal Decree 775/2011 of 3 June. In other words, a Bachelor’s degree whose verification report (issued by ANECA or the autonomous community evaluation bodies as part of the programme verification process) explicitly confirms the acquisition of the legal competences listed in Article 3.1 of Royal Decree 775/2011.
    • Non-EU university qualifications recognised as such by the competent academic authorities in the country of origin, titled Licenciado/a en Derecho (or equivalent), and which demonstrate sufficient legal competences, in the judgement of eserp’s academic authorities, to undertake the programme.
    • In any case, for a student who passes the Master’s programme to practise as a lawyer, in addition to holding a Licenciado/a en Derecho or Graduado/a en Derecho, they must pass the Ministry of Justice professional aptitude assessment and register with the relevant Bar Association. Admission to the Master’s programme does not, under any circumstances, alter the academic and, where applicable, professional effects of the prior qualification held by the applicant, nor does it constitute recognition for any purpose other than undertaking Master’s-level study.
