PhD from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya in the Doctoral Program in Law, Political Science, and Economics, he is an active researcher in the consolidated research group “Empirical and Applied Victimology” (VICRIM), as well as an assistant professor in the Criminology Degree at the same university. His research focuses broadly on victimology and, more specifically, on the implementation of restorative justice mechanisms as a complement to the criminal justice system, the victimization of vulnerable and/or minority groups, as well as the response of the criminal justice system to victimization in crimes against sexual freedom. He has been a visiting researcher at the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven), Belgium, and a collaborator with the European Forum for Restorative Justice (EFRJ). He has conducted studies on various topics related to his research lines, having published in high-impact journals both nationally and internationally.
