Through practical cases, students learn to design security plans, implement preventive measures and evaluate integrated systems adapted to different contexts. The module also addresses the technical, human and organisational factors involved in security management. Provides the theoretical and practical foundations needed to understand the organisation, functions and legal framework of security systems in contemporary society. The module examines historical and European policing models, public security in Spain, and the core content of the Organic Law on the Protection of Public Security. It also covers security planning and control for public events, buildings and emergencies, alongside provision for particularly vulnerable groups. Through applied activities, students develop the skills to design and evaluate security plans, interpret current legislation and understand the interaction between the public and private sectors. Explores in depth the understanding of aggression and antisocial behaviour in childhood and adolescence from psychological and criminological perspectives. The module examines the biological, social and cultural causes of violence in school, family and community settings, providing tools for prevention and psychosocial intervention. Students learn to identify different forms of child maltreatment, bullying, child-to-parent violence and sexual abuse, as well as the associated risk and protective factors. Through case-based learning, students develop the skills to design preventive strategies and intervention programmes at primary, secondary and tertiary levels. Aligned with the SDG 16: Peace, justice and strong institutions, it promotes education grounded in empathy, resilience and social inclusion.
